Most stores at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester will be open Sunday but eateries in the food court will be closed after a massage chair caught fire early Sunday morning.

The Manchester Fire Department told WMUR the chair was located between Best Buy and the floor court was reported around 1:25 a.m. It was put out by the mall's sprinkler system by the time fire crews arrived.

The was heavy smoke damage all around the mall with the worst water damage in the immediate area of the fire, according to a Patch report.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

The mall told Patch and WMUR that most stores will be able to open as scheduled on Sunday. The restaurants and eateries will need to be inspected by the Manchester Health Department before they are able to open.

The mall and Manchester Fire Department on Sunday morning did not respond to Seacoast Current's request for more information.
